How many treatments will I need?
The number of treatments needed will depend on the patient, the unique areas of concern, severity of hair loss, and the treatment that is used.
What kind of results will I get?
When it comes to hair transplants, results will depend on the area being treated and how many follicular units are transplanted. Immediately following the procedure, the newly-transplanted hairs are tiny and will require some time to “heal” and kickstart their growth. The new hair will start out very soft, and will eventually become stronger and thicker. The average patient will typically have new hair growth and density around the nine-month mark.
For non-transplant procedures, the density of the already-existing hair will improve. For some areas, the follicles that were nearly dead will come to life again and start growing new hair. But for areas where the scalp is smooth, most treatments won’t do much.
