High Number of Lasers
Our system’s high number of lasers ensures you get full scalp coverage and maximum benefit. Each one of the lasers covers several square inches resulting all areas of your scalp being covered multiple times.
All 135 laser rays are targeted directly onto your scalp, stimulating your red blood cells. The treatment is believed to work by causing cellular metabolic changes.
These changes cause additional oxygen and nutrients to be supplied to the scalp. This, in turn, increases blood circulation overall and results in:
- Improving hair quality
- Promoting hair growth
- Increasing diameter of hair shaft
There is also evidence that laser hair treatment affects, and possibly rids, the scalp of dihydrotestosterone (DHT). DHT is the androgen that results in hair loss by causing hair follicles to shut down.
The 2007 International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS) meeting in Las Vegas saw the release of a study by Dr. Maria A Muricy. Her study results confirmed increases in hair shaft diameter, fullness, and in the overall hair quality using laser hair growth treatment alone.
Laser Hair Treatment Results
Results do take about 12 to 16 weeks before they become apparent. The 1st month of laser hair treatment may even see some shedding of fine hairs, which is normal. The shedding is the last of every hair’s 4-stage growth cycle.
After the shedding phase, new, stronger hair, stimulated by the laser treatment, will emerge from the follicle. This new growth will start to occur during the 3rd month of treatment, becoming more noticeable in the following weeks.
Laser hair therapy is a treatment, not a cure, for hair loss. To retain the benefits and new growth, the treatments will need to be maintained.
